Description:    • BS or MS in Computer Science, or Computer Engineering or acceptable combination of equivalent post secondary education and experience will be considered 
• 8+ yrs in Telecommunications or related engineering (12+ yrs overall). 
• 4+ years of applicable work experience with NCS, or IMS voice switch platforms 
• Has advanced industry technical knowledge (Cable / Telecom / Voice Telephony Engineering) 
• Expert in Regulatory compliance with all CODE and numbering management practices 
• Participates in or aware of the standards and work done by the regulatory bodies in their areas of expertise - i.e. WICT, Cable Labs 
• Has attained advanced industry-standard certifications in the area of specified engineering specialty" 

Technical Skills Required 
" Advanced to expert knowledge of SS7 call routing to include ISUP, TCAP, and CLASS 
o Advanced or Expert knowledge of TN and CODE engineering, numbering technologies. 
o Understanding of one or more of the following - NCS and IMS nodes, SIP and TDM connectivity. 
o Understanding of business class and wholesale product offerings for Voice Telephony." 

Preferred Skills 
"• Master’s, or working on Master’s, is preferred 
• Management training and advanced industry certifications also preferred 
• Vendor Management Experience is preferred (Engr 4)" 

Job Roles/Responsibilities* 
"• Senior technical expert in management of Client’s TN inventory to support multiple Client services 
o Performs TN and CODE engineering duties on an expert level 
o Research and assess available CODE and numbering technologies in relation to the company’s current and future needs 
? Evaluate and recommend specific products and platforms to provide cost effective solutions that meet business and architectural requirements 
o Represent Client’s interests as various industry meetings 
? Review open issues and agenda items internally to gain consensus from Product Engineering, Regulatory, Legal, Billing, and BU, on Client’s position 
? Meet with industry partners (MSO’s, CLECs, and Peers) to gain alignment and present a unified front 
o Develop and set engineering guidelines for CODE and numbering management 
o Partner with middle ware system owners and Business partners on new product requirements and system enhancement initiatives 
• End to end expert in process and troubleshooting Subscriber line and trunk migrations 
• Accountable point of contact for Vendor management 
• Partner with Regulatory and Carrier Management teams to understand changes in the regulatory landscape and establish Standard Operating Procedures and engineering guidelines to ensure compliance" 

Qualificaitons 
BE Electronics / Telecommunications / Computer Science Or Electrical Engineering 

Travel Intermittent up to 25% 

QualificationsQualifications 


Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science graduates with 4-7 years of experience.
