Bachelor's Degree in quantitative field (e.g., economics, business) or MBA; MBA preferred 
At least 10 years of professional experience in the finance function at a health insurer and/or provider system, with at least 3 years reporting directly to CFO. Experience in both payer and provider environments preferred, as is experience in management consulting 
Exceptionally strong analytic abilities, with a proven track record of driving insightful findings from quantitative and qualitative data 
Deep familiarity with drivers of payer and provider economics across Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial books of business 
Experience with actuarial modeling preferred but not required 
Ability to develop contextually rich and visually compelling presentations to communicate complex concepts 
Extensive experience in the following environments: Access, Excel, and either SAS or SQL 
History of superior performance across various educational and professional settings 
Demonstrated ability to build teams, capabilities, and processes from the ground up and a desire to be part of an entrepreneurial organization 
Collaborative working style with the ability to work across different organizations and personalities 

Responsible for leading the company's client facing financial planning, management and reporting analytics strategy, innovation and delivery. The Role will work with clients to deliver economic performance to both them and the firm and deliver market leading health care value to the community. 

This Role will be accountable for consistently identifying accretive financial opportunities for the company and its clients in all aspects of the population health business. Will partner actively with the Financial Operations, Health Plan Operations and Strategy, Employer Services, Transformation, Business Development, Finance and IT leadership to deliver the insights and tools to support a market leading population health infrastructure. 

Responsible for: 
Development and ongoing management of the Financial analytics infrastructure to generate consistently accretive population health financial models and performance 
Pro forma modeling for clients making large population health investments, launching health plans, and entering into risk-based arrangements with payers 
Budget development and general ledger harmonization for clients’ population health businesses 
Creation of tools to assess the relative attractiveness of health plan and risk contract businesses
Admin cost, medical cost, and revenue diagnostics for ongoing business, identifying sources of variance versus budget and benchmarks and identifying options to close gaps 
Development, vetting, and iteration of performance based reimbursement models 
Admin cost ROI measurement, including customer acquisition, customer retention, care management, utilization management, and coding improvement 

Internal people and company leadership 
Oversight of the Business and Actuarial Analytics teams, including recruitment, development, and knowledge management. 
Partnership with Payer Strategy and Operations, Clinical Operations, and other departments to the design and execution of population health management programs/products 
Active contribution to the company's corporate business strategy 
Advancement of population health for our clients and beyond 
Executive communication to client leadership; participation in “alpha” health insurance product and payer risk contract roll out for strategic implementations; participation in Business Development activities
