Description:    4-6 month assignment 

3-4+ years network engineering/support experience, preferably in the financial services industry 
Knowledge and hands-on experience installing Cisco routers and switches (Catalyst 6500’s, 3750’s, Nexus 2K and 7K, 2800/3800 series routers, Cisco IOS) 
Experience with routing/switching protocols (EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, HSRP, spanning tree), IP addressing and protocols (TCP/UDP) 
Experience with Cisco and F5 load balancers is preferred 
Experience with Cisco ASA/FSM firewalls 
Experience with WAN deployments including design, implementation and troubleshooting (T-1, DS-3, PPP, MPLS, frame relay, metro Ethernet) – some client site visits required, mostly in NYC area 
Must have experience and understanding of high availability network solutions and technologies 
Experience with industry standard network monitoring, management and packet analysis tools to monitor and troubleshoot network/application performance and connectivity problems (Sniffer/Ethereal/Wire Shark, What’s Up Gold, Cacti, SNMP) 
Some hands on experience and knowledge of Unix/Linux a plus 
Strong written and verbal communication skills 
Self-motivated, ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
