Qualifications
10+ years reporting and analytical experience or a minimum of a Masters degree in programs such as applied mathematics, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics or computer sciences with 5+ years related industry experience. CFA or CPA preferred.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in technical SAS programming / analytical / data mining
- Expert-level skill in using SAS/BASE, SAS EG, SAS Macros, SAS Arrays, PROC SQL, SAS/ACCESS, and SAS/ODS.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Visio and Access
- 2+ year experience transforming data using XML
- Demonstrated ability to work with large data sets
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Skills
- Previous experience with Regulatory Reporting (Federal Reserve, OCC, SEC, etc.)
- Experience with the General Ledger and data reconcilement to regulatory reports (e.g. Y9C)
- Experience with credit risk associated with commercial and retail loan products
- 5+ years of experience in financial services industry
- CFA or CPA preferred
Responsibilities:
- Develop and streamline production validation reports
- Optimize SAS codes to enhance programming run-time efficiency
- Establish GL reconcilement process
- Plan, execute, and review the new report development
- Perform trend analysis and raise questions to ensure data quality
- Support ad-hoc report request for reporting analysis and issue investigation
- Provide technical assistance as a subject matter expert for less experienced staff, business line reporters, and other interested parties (e.g. auditors and regulatory examiners)
