Qualifications:
o Someone who knows good courses and can make sure the school is developing them. The candidate will work across program management (product development), mentoring, and evaluation teams to partner for success.
o Proven organizational leader -  effectiveness in leading educational initiatives that result in measurable improved student achievement.
o Strategic thought leader with the ability to translate strategic plans into tactical execution
o An innovative thinker with deep experience in the design and implementation of curriculum, particularly in an online environment.
o Skilled at analyzing, interpreting, and using data to collaborate, identify best practices and areas for improvement, and drive results.
o Ability to effectively build, develop and maintain strong relationships with product development, evaluation and mentoring team members. 
o Self-directed and able to prioritize among competing goals, exhibit flexibility, and drive results in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
o Established ability to create and articulate a vision, set goals, develop and execute strategies, and measure results.
o Understanding of effective course content and able to ensure we develop to that standard.
o Excellent written and oral communication skills, and presentation skills, with keen attention to detail.
o Master’s degree required; PhD  preferred with 7-10 years of related experience.
 
Responsibilities:
o With the Provost and other university leadership, identify the forward-looking strategies and tactics that will maintain clients leadership in providing a great adult learning experience.
o Partner with our National Directors to determine what is necessary to deliver in each of our degree programs – program design, content, courseware and assessments.
o Create a vision, establish goals, execution strategies, and success measurements.
o Lead the evaluation and re-work of our instructional strategies to ensure that it is aligned with our performance metrics.
o Create a common approach, time commitment, and definition of quality for all elements of course curriculum.
o Ensure vertical and horizontal alignment of instructional design.
o Develop and facilitate professional development and coaching necessary for mentors, and subject matter experts to effectively implement the instructional design.
o Participate with clients councils and provost to set and oversee the strategy for all clients programming.
o Review assessment tools on a regular basis to ensure they are aligned with instructional design and provide information needed to most effectively serve our students.
o Support the implementation of technology pilots and initiatives.
