Position Summary:
We are looking for a senior developer for the Security Engineering team to work on development and engineering of security systems. The initial focus will be on development of the next generation entitlements system which will replace the existing entitlement systems our team maintains and supports. The new entitlements system will be responsible for access control policy management and enforcement and will be used by a large number of applications.

Security engineering team is responsible for developing and supporting application security solutions in the areas of authentication and entitlements. Our software and infrastructure is used by hundreds of applications and virtually all employees and clients. The group also advises application development teams on how to integrate our solutions and secure their applications to meet security standards. We work with other infrastructure groups, information security, vendors, and the development community to make sure that security solutions are best in class and meet evolving security needs of applications and clients in terms of features, standards, and usability. The infrastructure we engineer and maintain is extremely critical in nature given its function and the number of applications that depend on it. As such, our solutions must be engineered to have 24x7 uptime, must be secure, must handle large number of users, and must be easily maintainable. At the same time we must keep pace with all of the popular platforms, languages, and development platforms application groups use to build their systems. Our APIs are available on Windows, Solaris, Linux, and AIX in C/C++, Java, C#, and Perl. We integrate our products with all standard web containers, such as Tomcat, Apache Web Server, and IIS, and standard frameworks such as J2EE. Some, but not all, of the solutions we own are AuthN authentication APIs, ICORN plugin for web based authentication, Crosslogix and WDB entitlement systems, and B2B toolkit for federated authentication.

Responsibilities:
Initial focus will be on design/development of next generation entitlements system.
Hands-on involvement in design, development, and support of Security Engineering products/services/infrastructure.
Consult application developers and other technologists on best ways to use Security Engineering solutions.
Work with other infrastructure and security teams to agree on common vision of security space and solutions
Support and maintain existing components including APIs, server side infrastructure, and tools.
Must Have Skills/Experience:
7+ years work experience preferably developing systems level and/or security software.
5+ years of Java development with solid knowledge and experience of core Java concepts like multithreading, I/O, collections, etc.
