BEA WebLogic Administrator for Fixed Income Trading Systems. The responsibilities include working directly with development and infrastructure teams on building, deploying, maintaining and supporting WL environments. This individual must have the ability to install, configure and administer Web logic. Prior development experience is a plus. This individual should have a sound foundation of web infrastructure and Internet technologies. In addition, strong experience with Java and J2EE components. This candidate should also have the ability to identify and reccommend performance tuning measures. This candidate will be responsible for adhering to the SDLC process for Web Logic related projects. Individual should have a strong knowledge of UNIX (various platforms), scripting (Perl, bsh, ksh, HTML, XML) and release management procedures.

Requirements

Experienced Java developer to work on development of the Sales Desktop application.
The Sales desktop team designs and implements the Sales Desktop application. The Sales Desktop is a Web based application to consolidate clients and market related data.

Principal Responsibilities:

The Sales desktop team is responsible for creating and maintaining many of the features on the desktop which utilizes the Institutional Portal infrastructure.

Institutional Portal infrastructure is written primarily in Java, and uses many web-based technologies including Tomcat, Apache, JavaScript and AJAX. Portal relies heavily on open-source software. Databases include Sybase and DB2 UDB, and other technologies include Perl and shell scripting.

A successful candidate will be responsible for working with various technology team teams to integrate their contents to the Sales desktop. The candidate will build new features and services for the Sales desktop, and enhancements to the existing infrastructure. The candidate is responsible for the complete lifecycle of Portal feature development.

Experience / Skills:

Must have
3 or more years of solid Java experience including multithreading, synchronization, collections, and common Java design idioms

Very good knowledge of HTML/DHTML, Javascript and CSS. Knowledge of Flash/Actionscript programming is a plus. Knowledge of AJAX programming toolkits is a plus.
Good analytical and troubleshooting skills

Nice to Have
Sybase/DB2 experience including development of stored procedures and TSQL
Good graphic design skills
Perl and shell scripting
Linux
Knowledge about other open source technologies such as Velocity and Ant

The job holder leads the technical design, development and documentation of cross-functional, multi-platform distributed application systems. Position Summary:
We are looking for a senior developer for the Security Engineering team to work on development and engineering of security systems. The initial focus will be on development of the next generation entitlements system which will replace the existing entitlement systems our team maintains and supports. The new entitlements system will be responsible for access control policy management and enforcement and will be used by a large number of applications.

Security engineering team is responsible for developing and supporting application security solutions in the areas of authentication and entitlements. Our software and infrastructure is used by hundreds of applications and virtually all employees and clients. The group also advises application development teams on how to integrate our solutions and secure their applications to meet security standards. We work with other infrastructure groups, information security, vendors, and the development community to make sure that security solutions are best in class and meet evolving security needs of applications and clients in terms of features, standards, and usability. The infrastructure we engineer and maintain is extremely critical in nature given its function and the number of applications that depend on it. As such, our solutions must be engineered to have 24x7 uptime, must be secure, must handle large number of users, and must be easily maintainable. At the same time we must keep pace with all of the popular platforms, languages, and development platforms application groups use to build their systems. Our APIs are available on Windows, Solaris, Linux, and AIX in C/C++, Java, C#, and Perl. We integrate our products with all standard web containers, such as Tomcat, Apache Web Server, and IIS, and standard frameworks such as J2EE. Some, but not all, of the solutions we own are AuthN authentication APIs, ICORN plugin for web based authentication, Crosslogix and WDB entitlement systems, and B2B toolkit for federated authentication.

Responsibilities:
Initial focus will be on design/development of next generation entitlements system.
Hands-on involvement in design, development, and support of Security Engineering products/services/infrastructure.
Consult application developers and other technologists on best ways to use Security Engineering solutions.
Work with other infrastructure and security teams to agree on common vision of security space and solutions
Support and maintain existing components including APIs, server side infrastructure, and tools.
Must Have Skills/Experience:
7+ years work experience preferably developing systems level and/or security software.
5+ years of Java development with solid knowledge and experience of core Java concepts like multithreading, I/O, collections, etc.
J2EE only candidates are NOT going to be considered
Experience in designing software that needed to be highly available, needed to scale, and was servicing a large client base.
Solid understanding of build, version control, and software testing methodologies
Knowledge and experience in OOAD
Relational database experience preferably with Sybase and/or UDB.
Nice To Have Skills/Experience:
C/C++ language knowledge
Any development of security software especially authorization/entitlements systems.
Web application development especially in Java and knowledge of Apache, Tomcat is a plus
Knowledge of security domain in any of the following concepts/technologies is a strong plus: Kerberos, SSL, Crypto, Single Sing On, Authorization, Active Directory Authentication, PKI, and Identity Federation, SAML Products.
Knowledge of Windows platform technologies and development experience a strong plus including .Net, C#, IIS technologies.
Demonstrate strong sense of initiative and ownership.
Strong interpersonal and communications skills. Ability to communicate with a diverse set of people.
Ability to work in a flexible environment and adapt to changing requirements and priorities
