Java/PL/SQL Developer(2)-Midtown area

 

My client is a well funded start-up that is in profit and growing

 

They offer a salary in the $80K-$90K area along with Stock Options

This position is a Senior Software Engineer with substantial hands-on experience with Java, J2EE and PL/SQL development. The ideal candidate must have knowledge of J2EE web applications, Oracle packages, stored procedures, functions, triggers, etc. The candidate should be able to drive the development of database and application components to completion with a high level of quality. The ideal candidate must have a strong ability to learn existing application frameworks and become a productive member of the team quickly.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for contributing the following tasks:
(1) Analyzing business requirements and formulating a design with supporting custom and UML-based documentation.
(2) Analyzing existing Java / Oracle / SQL Server code to determine best ways to refactor and enhance it,
(3) Designing and developing java standalone and J2EE application-server-based applications,
(4) Designing and developing Oracle / SQL Server database components
(5) Generating supporting unit tests as well as system test specifications and implementations,
(6) Generating automated deployment scripts for developed solutions,
