Project Manager - Audit Technology (VP level) 125 base plus bonus - Jersey City
The Audit Technology group is focused on delivering portal-based, integrated solutions to help the Audit business achieve their mission - "to identify, assess and mitigate risk within Lehman by recommending necessary improvements in the system of internal control and by working with management to effect such changes." The Project Manager filling this role will be in the unique position of being exposed to all aspects of the firm from trade processing to financial reporting and compliance. They will be expected to help drive a strategy of continued improvement and innovative thinking to help Audit identify and mitigate risk across the Firm.
Responsibilities:
The person filling this role will be the primary contact with the Audit organization, facing off with the global head of Audit, as well as the 5 senior directors in the department.
Additional responsibilities:
-Manage delivery and maintenance of new ICEsys platform (Audit's core application)
-Propose and design new solutions to improve efficiency and process within Audit (e.g., ways to perform automated testing of controls to free up Auditor's time and give control to the business units for tracking remediation of issues)
-Manage varied expectations and requirements from all Audit areas
-Work directly with Audit Directors to resolve issues and identify areas for improvement
-Identify opportunities to improve the technology, focusing on supporting repeatable business processes and increasing Auditor's efficiency
-Develop and manage the overall technology direction and schedule for delivery
-Manage a global team of 7-10 people, comprised of a strong technical lead and several TCS developers
-Be able to evolve the team structure as required
-Instill good development practices, particularly increased focus on testing
Requirements:
-Track record of delivering business applications in an iterative fashion
-Ability to manage and set the expectations of users with varied requirements
-Hands-on technical experience with databases, Java, & HTML
Working knowledge of in-house workflow products such as Staffware and BusinessWorks
-Good working knowledge of all phases of the development lifecycle
-10 years of previous project management experience leading a team of 5-10 people
