Immediate need. Municipal Money Market technology team. Work with sales and trading desk. Unix, C++, Sybase or SQL. Java a plus, not required. Financial services a plus, not required. Mostly development with some support. Will be part of a rotation working part of the day on trading floor (not every day), then the rest of the day on development projects.

This team supports the Global Municipal/Money Market Business and works on small to medium sized projects within our Municipal, US and European Money Market business units. The candidate is expected to support the Municipal/Money Market technology and infrastructure, interact with the trading and sales desk to help resolve problems and issues, produce quality technical solutions for critical and time sensitive tasks, and work with team members on projects. RESPONSIBILITIES: -Understand existing and new business/technology flows. -Enhance existing services and participate in the redesign of existing services to handle money market business functionality. -Work with teams of developers both within Municipal/Money Market Systems and across other technology groups. -Participate in design and code reviews. -Support and implement money market strategic and tactical technology implementations. EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: -Minimum of 5 years programming experience. -Required Languages: C, C++, csh, ksh, PERL, SQL -Preferred Languages: JAVA -Strong communication skills (written & oral) -Operating System: UNIX (Solaris), Windows -Database: SYBASE -GUI, PERL and scripting language development a plus. -Degree in computer science or technical equivalent. -Municipal/Money Markets business knowledge a plus.
