This position is as a Mid-Range Developer for Enterprise Security Master (ESM)

Our Products:

• Enterprise Security Master (ESM) product maintains an infrastructure for managing data for global use. ESM develops middleware APIs, Web tools, and other application interfaces that provide data access to both Street and  back office product and price information
• Client Revenue/Sales/Trader Portal is the global source for all trade, compensation and financial information for both Institutional Sales and Private Client Services. Our data leverages the inter-relationships between Trade, Customer, Salesperson and Product. CRM provides a comprehensive client relationship management solution
• Enterprise Account Management (EAM) Account, Client, and Instruction Management (EAM) is the central repository for entering account, client, relationship, and instruction information

The person filling this role will be as a Mid-Range developer for the Enterprise Security Master (ESM) application.

Responsibilities include:

• Design and development of Enterprise Security Master (ESM) new components to accommodate credit and equity derivative product coverage front office trading and back office settlement systems. The project includes building a message based distribution platform to deliver the data to 200+ applications.  The new components will need to be designed as core J2EE/Unix software modules that will need to be integrated into overall ESM architecture.
• Design and development of Enterprise Security Master (ESM) new components to enable its integration with front office trading and back office settlement systems. The project includes building a message based distribution platform to enable bi-directional communication between ESM and 200+ systems  The components will be developed using J2EE / TIB / JMS / Unix / Sybase technologies.
• Support existing applications, real-time processes and batch cycles; troubleshoot outages. The system is 24x7 and a global platform for a number of major mission- critical business functions
• Act as a liaison with Business analysts, developer teams and infrastructure groups
• Participate in all aspects of development cycle, design, development implementation, testing, production rollouts, support, enhancements.

Critical Technical Skills Include:

• Proficient or familiar with Web and GUI : SWT,SWING JSP/Servlets/AJAX
• Proficient or familiar with  Core Java (Collections, MT, JDBC, Exceptions)
• Good SQL (Ability to write complex SQL code)
• Good Data Structures
• Good EJBs

Some Linux/UNIX skills (basic scripting)
