Position Overview - Basic Functions & Responsibility

Essential function(s) includes, but is not limited to:

Candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, supporting and managing several projects for the Credit and Lending business within the Private Client Services division. This candidate will be working very closely with the business to understand the business requirements and define technology solutions to meet the business needs. This project has an aggressive implementation schedule. Must have experience in managing large projects, strong leadership skills, an ability to coordinate across multiple organizations and attention and willingness to drill down into details is required. Excellent communications skills, project planning/process experience is a MUST. Candidate must have the ability to build and manage a team of developers. Must be able to work in a dynamic environment while adapting to changing priorities.

 

 

 

 

Primary Activities

Primary activities include, but are not limited to

:

Candidate will be involved in understanding the business requirements and following the software development life cycle which includes writing functional specification/design documents, coding, etc. In addition this candidate will be responsible for managing a team of developers and delivering  the Credit and Lending projects on time.

 

 

 


 

Skills (include specific skill levels I.e degree, years of experience, industry experience, leadership)

 

Management Skills and Domain Knowledge:

  • Business Knowledge:  Fundamental understanding of the Financial Industry, knowledge of the securities based lending business is a PLUS.
  • Leadership/Management Experience : Strong leadership skills, experienced in managing large projects, ability to coordinate across multiple groups
  • Project Experience: Strong technology manager with hands on capability to move project from requirements gathering, design, development through implementation.
  • Communications Skills: Strong communication skills is a MUST in order to interact with the business group, facilitate and plan for testing, as well as prioritizing the work.
  • Technology/Business Skills: C#, ASP.NET, J2EE, XML, XSL, experienced in design and development of N-Tier applications, SOAP (web services), XSLT

 

Education and Professional Qualifications: Prior Financial Services experience, Securities based lending knowledge,
