we are looking for candidates who have solid technical and/or development background who have worked in simlar support and/or system operations team for the electronic trading business preferably  dma, program trading, market making and/or algorithmic.  Level II will be expected to develop a thorough understanding of the system they are supporting, including being able to provide in-depth research and anaylsis of problems, setup and system monitoring, build/release of the system into production and be point person duing a system outage.   In short level II person will be responsible for the production stability of the system and will have influence over its development.

This is a great opportunity to come in on the groud floor of a newly developing level II production operation team whose charter is to over see and take control of the production trading environment.   This is a rare opportunity to be part of something that is expected to grow across the organization. This is a hands on role, the person we are looking for is comfortable navigating through a UNIX/LINUX environment, have had experience building software and package release., navigating through system logs, databases, writing scripts, reading code, learning the business.   Basically this team will be responsible for the operational stability of our production trading systems.   **Plus for anyone who has managed FIX gateways especially TransactTools**
Skills (include specific skill levels i.e degree, years of experience, industry experience, leadership)
Working knowledge of FIX, sql, shell, perl, basic programming experience (C, C++, JAVA), UNIX/LINUX.
