Job Title:   Sr. Developer

Work Location:  Whippany, NJ

Responsibilities: Designs and develops technical solutions for one or more projects/applications for the Global Clearance Services (IT) Department for Portfolio Management, Margin and/or related systems. This individual will develop and maintain applications and integration solutions on the UNIX/LINUX platforms with interfaces to the mainframe and other distributed systems.  Candidate must demonstrate a hands-on technical background, architecture, design & development abilities across a full project life cycle.

Platforms: Must be proficient in UNIX/LINUX.  Familiarity with the WebLogic and Apache environments is a plus.

GUI Systems: Must be familiar with web GUI systems using HTML, DHTML, JSP, JAVA.  Familiarity with web application frameworks and paradigms such as Struts, AJAX and JSF a plus.

Database Systems: Must be familiar with DB2 and Oracle. Must have strong DB design skills.

Integration Experience : Must be familiar with data integration concepts and patterns. Experience with an ETL tool is a plus. Must be familiar with EAI solutions, integration patterns and integration protocols (XML/SOAP etc.). Must have experience with messaging products like MQ, TIBCO RV or JMS. Experience with an EII tool is a plus. Experience implementing Advent Geneva Portfolio Accounting solution is a major plus.

Other Programming Skills: Must be proficient in J2EE programming (servlets, beans, JMS) and familiar with JAVA client programming (JSP, JSF, applets).  Proficiency with SQL and database stored procedure programming is a plus. Applicant should have 8 – 10 experience developing with an object oriented language (Java, C++), with 3 – 5 years building enterprise systems with J2EE. Must have experience modeling systems design with UML. Must have Entity Relationship modeling experience. Any knowledge of the following technologies is a plus Ant, Maven, Clearcase, XML, Xerces, Castor.

Business Knowledge: Must have an excellent working understanding in one of the following areas:  Portfolio Management, Brokerage Operations, Performance Measurement and/or Portfolio Attribution, Reference Data Management.

Project Experience: Must have at least 5 years of experience on large scale systems integration projects.
