Senior C++ Programmer

 

 

Responsibilities   In this role you  will be a hands-on senior developer in the International Processing and Clearance group.  The individual will be responsible for the investigation, design, development and implementation of mission critical projects aimed at capturing market opportunities and achieving operational efficiencies.   Qualifications   To be considered for this role you need to have significant (5+ years) experience in C++ software development on a Unix platform (Solaris or Linux preferred). Experience with OO design of complex systems in a multi-tier architecture (using relational database systems and messaging). Knowledge of relational database technologies (Sybase preferred, Oracle is a plus). Knowledge of Java, BEA Weblogic and JMS (Tibco EMS, IBM MQ) for message oriented middleware is a strong plus but not absolutely necessary. Basic financial services knowledge is required; familiarity with trade settlement processes and brokerage operations is helpful. Experience participating in a large scale software development project is necessary. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with other developers and to produce project documentation is also required
