Job Title:   Project Manager

Work Location:  Whippany, NJ

Responsibilities: Leads one or more projects/applications for the Global Clearance Services (IT) Department for Portfolio Management and/or related systems. Candidate must demonstrate strong project management skills with sufficient technical background in the areas of architecture & design. The project manager will work closely with our business partners and manage a team of IT professionals.

Platforms: Must have managed one or more large systems integration (data and application integration) projects. Experience with JEE, EAI & ETL Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture concepts is a major plus.

Skills: Full lifecycle project management (PMP level) Requirements Management & Business Analysis Should have previous programming background

Business Knowledge: Must have an excellent working understanding in Portfolio Management /Accounting applications with specialized knowledge in two or more of the following: Equities, Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange, Commodities, and Derivatives. An extensive knowledge of the instruments characteristics and typical processing (for valuations) is preferred.

Project Experience: Must have at least eight years of Technical Project Management skills employing a   Software Development Life Cycle methodology,  working in a Financial Institution  and  having at least four years of programming experience using JAVA and UNIX/LINUX in financial applications.

Communication Skills: Must have excellent oral and written skills being able to communicate effectively on both a technical and business level.  In addition, must exhibit strong team building and interpersonal skills.
