A leader in stock short term trading  is trying to hire an intermediate level Oracle Database Developer (Full time employee) responsible for developing and maintaining Oracle PL/SQL applications and quantitative data. We offer competitive salary with bonus.

Responsibilities include:

* Perform data/business analysis for database applications.

* Develop technical specifications from business requirement analysis.

* Design, develop and implement applications with Oracle PL/SQL.

* Maintain market and transaction data integrity.

* Perform performance tuning for queries and PL/SQL applications.

* Must work within a team of technical and business users to meet project milestones and objectives.

 

Applicants must have:

* Minimum 4+ years of Oracle development experience

* Working knowledge of Oracle database architecture.

* Ability to learn and adapt principals/concepts that are integral to business operations.

* Proven experience with Oracle PL/SQL (Scripts, Procedures, Packages, Triggers), SQL*Plus, Application Tuning

* Excellent verbal/written communication skills.

* Mathematical background/work experience.

* Working knowledge of UNIX OS. (Solaris/Linux experience a plus)

* Scripting skills * Shell scripting, perl (DBI a plus).

* Thorough Knowledge of relational and data warehouse databases concepts and design

* Financial industry and stock trading knowledge a plus.
