Project Manager in Operations

To $125K Base

 

This is an addition to staff. There are currently 2 PMs

 

Requirements:

 

• 5++ years Project Management experience with formal development lifecycle process within an e-Commerce environment; start-up experience is a big plus
• Experience with any of the following technologies: J2EE, Java, JSP, PHP
• Minimum 5 years experience with project planning tools: MS Project, MS Office
• Strong business analysis skills, project methodology skills
• Strong experience working with vendors
• Strong experience managing large implementations specifically Client/Server and Web solutions, RUP needed
• PMP/PMI Certification strongly desired
• Excellent verbal/written communicator
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills; time management

 

Responsibilities:

 

The Project Manager will be responsible for:

• Working closely with the Project Director in the project(s) initiation phase to establish the project plan and metrics
• Maintaining the MS Project schedule(s) and cost analysis for each project.
• Meeting with Team Leads to gather status, project updates, escalations
• Maintaining the libraries for all projects documentation
• Maintaining the change control process for each project
• Lead document walk-throughs, acting as both a documentarian and facilitator
• Provide assistance in the development and execution of test strategies and plans to efficiently validate system functionality
• Play a key role in the successful progression from the discovery state to the design stage, by providing knowledge transfer to the Design and QA teams
• Working with the Technical Leads, must gain understanding of the client problem being addressed, the definition and review of the solution, and the proper planning of the team(s) solution process
• Track progress of the team(s) according to the plan’s schedule and drive efforts across the multidisciplinary team involved in the delivery, including aiding in the project communication, issue resolution, roadblock elimination. Ensure that team members are integrated toward agreed-upon goals.
