Senior IT Security Analyst
 
 
In this role, the successful candidate will provide technical advice, guidance, and direction in the implementation of appropriate access protection, system integrity, system reliability, audit control, and system recovery methods and procedures for all systems.
 
Responsibilities include:
  • Provide management with in-house consulting services regarding security design, selection and implementation coordination addressing multiple security integration issues.
  • Provide technical recommendation in security architecture and design. This responsibility encompasses and is not limited to wide-area networks, campus backbone networks, the Internet and sophisticated security management systems and tools.
  • Additional responsibilities include participating in the handling of security incidents, system abuses and appropriate documentation for audit control and compliance purposes.
 
Requirements include:
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field experience.
  • Experience with health care information systems preferred.
  • 4+ years experience with current technical and procedural techniques in information security including the identification and evaluation of IT security risks and exposures.
  • Knowledge and experience with networking and Internet security, Database security, network concepts and protocols; state and federal regulations, accrediting organizations and healthcare industry standards, and litigation avoidance issues relative to information security matters.
  • Experience in security assessments including review of all initiatives for compliance to security policies and practices.
  • Must have experience in information security in a multi-platform [Unix, Windows] environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Managerial experience would be highly desirable. 
  • Must be able to work or attend meetings in NYC, regional sites or vendor sites and work after hours, weekends and holidays when required.
