The Role  R&D Systems Group is looking to add to their current talent with Unix System Engineers. This is a great opportunity to work with an experienced team of system engineers that configure, install, manage, and support a large number of medium to enterprise class systems according to existing procedures, and utilizing in-house and standard Unix tools.  There is ample scope for project work and development of new services and tools.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Related Field (or equivalent expertise) - At least 7 years of experience in UNIX Systems Administration - Solid Solaris skills (e.g. installing and configuring hosts, solid understanding of virtual memory, file system concepts, processes, etc.) - Solid understanding of networking, and standard network applications (i.e. TCP/IP, ICMP, TraceRoute, TCPdump, etc.) - Ability to Script (ksh, bourne) is required - Strong verbal and written Communication and Documentation skills - Knowledge of PERL/PYTHON a plus - Knowledge of Veritas VM/FS/VCS/Netbackup, Legato Networker/ AlphaStor a plus - Strong Project Management Skills Required
