QA Analyst Pearl River, NY MABJA33

Location:                              Pearl River

Salary Range:                     $60K-$75K

 

 

Summary:

Perform software and web testing to ensure that the corporate treasury application functions as specified and provides the best quality information services to customers.  The tests cover both front-end web applications and common services systems.  Prepare test plans, document test cases, conduct software/web testing, evaluate and report testing results to QA team leader.  Document and track software defect while interfacing with development and product.

 

Required Qualifications:

> Execute automated and manual testing processes used for QA Regression Testing.

>Participate in development and maintenance of automated testing scripts and test scenarios.

> Experience in testing of ASP/Web based applications

> Design test cases based on functional specifications

> Participate in implementation / maintenance of automated testing tools.

>Assist in analysis / resolution of software issues discovered while executing tests.

> Record, track and monitor the status of all errors arising from QA Testing.

> Escalate testing issues and suggest improvements, using appropriate processes in a timely manner.

> Closely liaise with SQA Analyst’s keeping them informed of progress.

>Bachelor's degree, preferably in Math, Engineering, Computer Science.

>4+ years overall software/web-based Quality Assurance testing experience.

>2+ years of QA automation testing experience, preferably Mercury Interactive test tools, and QTP.

>The ability to learn new applications and testing methodologies quickly.

>A 'test-to-break' attitude and attention to detail from customer's point of view.

>Strong analytical skills to analyze the business/functional requirements and create detailed automation test scripts.

>Proven ability to understand the software application and develop a Misys-specific automation strategy and framework.

>Strong documentation/writing skills for creating test plans and automation framework.

> Sound analysis and problem solving skills.

> Knowledge of appropriate testing methodologies.

> Ability to work effectively under pressure.

> Excellent organizational abilities.

> Sound verbal and written communication skills. 

> Excellent organizational abilities.
