The incumbent will lead or manage a small trading support team in monitoring and supporting the company’s internal Equity Order Routing, Crossing and Compliance applications. He or she will be a key contributor in supporting, troubleshooting, and integrating equity trading applications issues and ensuring problems are resolved in a timely and efficient manner. The individual will be working in a cross–functional environment, in close cooperation with many diverse areas of the firm.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage the day-to-day activities of the trading support team by defining, implementing and maintaining a coherent, progressive strategy.
• Manage trading support team in troubleshooting equity trading systems, order routing, front office, middle office, crossing and compliance application issues, determine source of problems, and identify solutions for internal and external clients, using technical and analytical expertise and knowledge of systems.
• Conceptualize most efficient methods of resolving trading support issues in order increase productivity. Categorize, prioritize and resolve trading application issues dealing with all levels of equity trade order and routing systems.
• Plan, conduct and direct major projects, or phases of projects.

INTEGRATION SYSTEM SUPPORT (ISS) ADMINISTRATOR

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
Advanced knowledge of SQL
• Advanced knowledge of Sybase
• Advanced knowledge of UNIX
• Advanced knowledge of QA or Software Development methodologies
• C, C++
• Direct Market Access systems and Exchanges
• JAVA, HTML
• Perl Scripting
• System Performance Analysis
• Trading Rules and Regulations

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• B.S. Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Computer Science or equivalent technical discipline
• 7 + years experience in Trading Support role and
1 + years leading Trading Support team

Or
• M.S. Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent technical discipline
• 5 + years experience in Trading Support role and 1 + years leading Trading Support team
