Energetic individual with an accounting and/or finance background and a desire to learn multi-layered approach to operational oversight of Company investment funds. Responsibilities include detailed reviews of fund pricing, performance, investment manager reconciliations, security valuation, financial reporting, and related fund accounting functions for assigned investment funds and separate account mandates. The appropriate individual must be detail-oriented with ability to identify potential valuation and reporting issues. This person should also have the proper communication skills to facilitate interaction with other internal areas, the custodian bank and other vendors.

Responsible for reviewing daily and monthly fund pricing/valuation for assigned funds.
Review investment manager to custodian bank reconciliations and ensure that any material reconciling items are addressed and resolved in a timely fashion.
Manage the cash flow allocation process for assigned funds.
Review performance at both fund and manager levels, including analysis of returns to benchmark returns and comparison of manager to custodian returns, and investigate variances.
Complete monthly fund accounting review checklists.
Assist in coordinating investment manager transitions and new fund and manager setup, acting as a liaison with Company investment team, the custodian bank and investment manger personnel.
Participate in the review of financial statement drafts during year end audits.
Review monthly and quarterly income distributions from funds and related distribution ratios.
Ensure proper calculation and payment of manager asset and performance fees and other direct fund expenses.
Review monthly data feeds to the on-line reporting system and website to ensure accuracy
Review and respond to fair valuation requests from custodian bank, gathering background information to support the fair value decision when necessary.
Responsible for verification of Company's direct trading activity, including reconciliation to broker statements/confirms and maintenance of portfolio management system.
Assist with other projects as required.




REQUIRED BACKGROUND:

Four-year college degree required; accounting degree preferred. Related financial services experience a plus. Must enjoy being a part of a small team that is committed to proactively identifying and solving problems. Must possess strong interpersonal and teamwork skills as this person will work closely with various levels within The Company as well as with various external vendors. Experience with futures, options, foreign equities and foreign fixed income preferred.
