Experience with Ad Serving, high volume web applications, designing “white label” distributed web applications.

Seeking a Technical Lead to provide leadership for the development team in the execution of large-scale development projects. The Tech Lead will have a solid understanding of open source and mainstream technologies powering all aspects of Web application development database architecture, software code development and component integration. The candidate will work in close collaboration with the Director of Software Engineering, Project Management and Product Management.

Qualifications:
Experience designing and deploying enterprise level software applications on industry standard frameworks required.
Must be an experienced team leader
Extensive experience using multiple data mining and reporting tools
Extensive experience with multiple database applications including, but not limited to, Oracle and MySql
Strong object oriented programming skills.
Experience with SOA and Web Services is required.
Ability to think creatively and suggest alternative development solutions.
Ability to complete projects on a timely basis with minimal supervision.
Strong verbal and written communications skills.
Substantial real-world experience and prior involvement working on high-visibility software projects and managing multiple projects concurrently.
Excellent application development skills
Design patterns (GoF, J2EE)
Web MVC frameworks (like Struts)
Spring
Testing technology (Cruise Control, Junit, mock objects, Test-Driven Development)
Java J2EE/EJB/Servlet
Clustering (messages, caches, deployments, failover)
ORM frameworks (Hibernate, iBatis)
Caching frameworks (OSCache)
Application servers (WebSphere, JBOSS, Geronimo)
Web servers (Apache)
Scripting (Jruby, Ruby, perl, PHP, bash)
Linux administration
Databases (Oracle, MySQL)
IDE (Eclipse, RAD)
Build/Deployment tools (Maven2)
Web services
Enterprise Service Bus (Mule)
XML/XSLT
Web templating technology (JSP, Velocity, WebMacro)

Core Responsibilities:

Guide the development team
Instill best practices across all development efforts.
Help define and ensure compliance with related standards and procedures
Assist in resource planning and allocation.
Participate in buy/build decisions
Provide design input to the Web applications design and data integration architectures;
Performance tuning and resource optimization of applications
Code reviews
Architecture and design
Maintenance planning
Iterative development of new features on existing code base
Production system experience
Developer mentoring
