Title: Senior Applications Project Specialist (Quality Assurance)

Job Description        
Responsible for the implementation and on-going administration of the WinRunner/QTP environment.
Working closely with existing technical and testing teams, developing the automated testing tool strategy.
Provides input, guidance and recommendations to other test team members specific to automation processes.
Working with existing technical and testing teams, coordinate test tool support, strategies, planning, adoption, automation, maintenance, and implementation.
Liaison with the central IT organization for issues relating to licensing and configuration.
Working with management, coaches and mentors individuals and teams to ensure their test tool use and efforts are useful and efficient.
Working with management, ensures that accepted methodologies and best practices are developed, supported, and used to address test tool needs.

Job Requirements
Ability to articulate a long-term test automation strategy and incrementally deliver automated test suites, frameworks, and programs to support that vision.

Experience in designing test suites for complex features based on systems requirements and technical specifications.

Significant testing experience required (unit, system, system integration, regression, negative, black box, etc.).

Knowledge of testing methodology (white vs. black box testing, function vs. path testing, etc.).

Experience with source and change control/management tools (such as PVCS).

Excellent analytical/leadership, problem solving, and project management skills.

Excellent verbal and written skills for reporting and presenting status of the testing efforts and for discussions with management, business analysts, and developers to isolate and resolve issues/defects/challenges.

Ability to analyze test runs and determine impact on these and other testing efforts.

Job Location        NY - NYC Home Office

Salary:        $70K-75K + bonus
