Jobcode: CJASMEThe Product Management team is responsible for all phases of analysis surrounding the development of a next generation of platform. The Legacy platform is the single platform that clients and internal support teams use to leverage Middle and Back Office accounting capabilities. We are currently engaged in the Solution Definition (Requirements) Phase of this multi-year project.
Description:
The Subject Matter Expert’s duties include, but are not limited to:
• Understanding of the legacy platform
• Working with the QA team to increase their knowledge of products and
financial accounting
• Assist in the documentation/design of the future version of A5
• Writing of Test Cases for the new product
• Entering test cases into QA tools
• Execution of such test cases
• Effectively logging defects
• Communicating with colleagues, management
• Assisting with various projects as assigned
Qualifications required:
Successful candidates will have the following qualifications:
• BS or BA in Accounting/Finance/Economics
• Minimum 8 years experience in Financial Services with heavy experience with
fund accounting in either a Middle Office or Back Office capacity
• Broad and deep knowledge of Capital Markets financial instruments
• Exposure to Accounting systems (Investier, InvestOne, Geneva, etc)
• Excellent Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook skills
• Working Knowledge of hedge or mutual funds
• Attention to detail
• Desire/willingness to prepare and review documentation
• Ability to train/mentor others who do not come from strong financial services backgrounds
• Superior written and oral communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and take-on multiple projects
