Unix Computer Operator NYC $60000 - $80000 +bonus

 This position is paying 60-  8 0k total comp. they probably would not go higher than 80k on a base

 

The Role:   server environment is operating optimally; Performance management; Diagnose environmental issues and drive resolution; perform account management across R&D; understanding of application coding; understanding of C, C++, Perl, and shell scripting; project management knowledge; knowledge of NFS to help troubleshoot problems.  Skilled in Sun/IBM UNIX operating systems; understanding of computer operations; Experience w/ NFS; Server performance management; script writing; Able to work effectively under a high pressure work environment; Adept at problem identification, recovery, escalation and resolution; Good communication  skills. Coverage Hours 3:00am-12:00pm M-F
