Job Description:

 

The (Request for Proposal) RFP Associate reports the the Supervisor of the RFP Group and works closely with all members of the Client Service/Marketing team, and occasionally with Portfolio Managers.  The submission of RFPs in an integral part of the client service/marketing process and a significant source of obtaining new clients for the Firm.

We are looking for individuals who possess high initiative and have demonstrated the ability to work in a strong team environment.  The optimal candidate must be detailed oriented, have excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills and be able to handle a heavy, deadline-oriented workload.

 

 

Responsibilities/Duties:

 

§      Primary responsibility is preparation of RFPs and oversight of questionnaires for consultants and special requests for clients, all from emanation to completion.

§      Use of Word, Outlook, Excel and various Access based databases, as well as internal systems.

§      Possible maintaining/updating RFP responses in internal database.

§      Cultivation of relationships with Product Specialists, Client Service Executives, and other departments of the Firm to facilitate responses needed to complete the RFP process (fixed income knowledge is a plus)

§      Interface across departments to resolve issues; terminology, translations, descriptions and data issues.

§      Strong organization skills and a keen attention to detail

§      Proven leadership as well as good facilitation and interpersonal skills

§      Excellent written and oral communication skills

§      Demonstrated computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

§      Strong quantitative skills

 

Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
