 Real Estate Fund Controller

 

Our Private Equity & Real Estate team provides administration services, both accounting and legal, to private equity and real estate investment structures. Typically our accountants undertake NAV calculations at fund level and are also responsible for the accounting of the subsidiary companies used in the relevant investment structure. We are currently recruiting to fill senior positions that have arisen as a result of our continued growth. Specific duties will include:

 

Your key tasks and responsibilities are:

• Participation in the set up and launch of real estate investment structures;
• Efficient and timely operation of NAV calculations;
• Participation in the consolidation process of the structures;
• Preparation of quarterly reporting and annual accounts for real estate funds and subsidiary companies;  
• Preparation of income tax returns and GST returns for real estate funds and subsidiary companies;
• Communicate with and advise clients, (tax) advisors, lawyers, notaries, other professionals, government institutions and other Citco offices worldwide;
• Maintenance of high quality operating standards, procedures and quality controls.  

 

Qualifications and Experience: the following will be highly regarded:

• University degree in finance/accounting and/or experience in an accounting environment or as an external auditor;
• Knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP would be considered a plus;
• Experience with real estate fund administration and consolidations;
• Strong financial/accounting and analytical skills;
• Commercial, dynamic attitude and excellent communication skills;
• Able to work as team leader and autonomously;

• Good organizational skills and the capability to deliver high service quality;
• Knowledge of real estate accounting software such as Yardi, MRI is considered an advantage;
• Fluency in English is essential; any other language will be an advantage.
