Business Analyst will be responsible for assisting with the facilitation and integration of business processes within a fast paced technology environment. The person will be an integral part of the technology team focused on projects and support of middle and back office systems, including proprietary systems.

Competencies:
§ Must have minimum 3 years Information Technology experience in the Investment Management sector supporting middle/back office operations
§ Must have proficiency in business analysis, documentation and presentation tools
§ Must have knowledge of at least one of the major industry fund accounting packages (ex: InvestOne, Portia, PMIS or PAM)
§ Experience with Sungard InvestOne is desirable
§ Fixed Income experience highly desirable
§ Experience with Swaps, Futures, Options and FX a big plus
§ Must have experience with information systems development or implementation in a client service oriented environment
§ Must have strong oral and written communication skills
§ Must have strong follow through and execution skills
§ 5 - 10 plus years of total experience in direct related field required

Responsibilities/Duties:
§ Act as InvestOne and proprietary middle and back office systems subject matter expert

§ Responsible for accurate and detailed SDLC documentation including functional requirements, test plans and test scripts.
§ Works with business to understand workflow and gaps. Translates and documents into business and functional requirements.
§ Works with Business on User Acceptance Testing and signoff
§ On a daily basis, assist in resolution of nightly processing issues
§ Works with developers in troubleshooting any system failures and/or data discrepancies. Works with business to identify and resolve data discrepancies
§ Satisfy ad-hoc requests from user base
§ Liaise with vendors on production related issues including follow up to completion
§ Evaluate new features and functionality available in upcoming releases
§ Responsible for the definition and execution of regression test plans to assist in implementation of bug fix and upgrade releases
§ Maintain knowledge base of past and open issues with systems
§ Evaluate and create requirements for custom user reports
§ Manage queue of reporting/enhancement requirements from user base
§ Accountable for providing leadership and independent initiatives in facilitating and conducting information gathering structured documentation and presentation of findings
§ Occasionally participates in cross-functional task forces to identify and document functional requirements, work flow, information sources and distribution paths, and system specification
