JOB SUMMARY: Implements and directs key vendor relationships of the Funds Group and manages the operations of the Dealer Services Department. Directs the coordination of board preparation activities such as travel arrangements, board agenda and documentation, as and facilitation of board member payments.
DIRECT REPORTS: Four direct reports
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manages relationships with key mutual fund vendors including transfer agent, custodian, credit facility and offshore service providers.
2. Directs the day-to-day activities of Broker Dealer Services department staff.
3. Directs the preparation & coordination of board meetings and management reporting.
4. Identify, obtain, and implement new vendor services required by the Funds Group.
5. Coordinate agenda of Vendor Oversight Committee and execute actions recommended by the committee.
6. Develops and implements efficient workflows, reporting and processes utilized in managing the Dealer Services Department and assigned vendor relationships.
7. Directs associate management including: performance management, salary planning and administration, training and development, workflow and organizational planning, hiring and placement, and disciplinary actions.
8. Performs other related duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Undergraduate studies in accounting, business, finance.
Licences/Certifications: FINRA Series 6, 26, and 63. Associates must obtain the required Federal and/or state licenses/registrations within the time period designated by the business unit. Additional licenses/registrations may be required when new products and services are implemented. If an associate fails or is unable to obtain required licenses/registrations within the time period designated by the business unit, the associate will be ineligible to continue in the position.
Experience: Minimum of five years or more in progressively responsible positions in various mutual fund administration, transfer agency and/or investment advisor management roles
Knowledge: Strong mutual fund industry knowledge.
Candidate Must Have :
* Mutual fund admin experience managing service providers to mutual funds.
* 5-8 years in mutual fund space.
* Must have the fund accounting and transfer agency experience as well.
