Heavy Windows environment (primarily 2003) including 64-bit technology and clustering, core Options trading environment runs on HP Itanium servers with a VMS/VAX OS. Weekend testing – as needed for releases. Rotating shifts – typically once every few months for cross training purposes. Financial services experience is a plus but not required.


Job Requirements:
In-depth experience in an open systems environment. Strong working knowledge of Windows Server Operating System required.
Working knowledge of Veritas NetBackup or similar enterprise backup products.
Strong working knowledge of data and telecommunications principals. Proficient in the use of MS Office applications including Outlook, Word and Excel.
Working knowledge of issue ticketing and reporting software such as Remedy required.
The candidate will possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
This position will require regular interaction with various support groups, end-users and management of all levels. Must be able to analyze problems and solve them creatively; be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
Must demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Must develop a strong knowledge of products, features and services and how our customers use them.
Must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize and complete specified tasks under strict deadlines.
Needs the ability to communicate status both orally and in written form effectively.
Must have solid team working skills in a fast paced setting.
Individual must possess the ability to various shifts.
Must be flexible with the ability to work occasional `off shifts' in order to cover for operations staff during vacation, sick or personal time, or to attend training opportunities and or meetings and incident management coverage.

* Overtime is a requirement of this position and is often required on an unscheduled as needed basis.

Required Skills
Technical: Windows 2000/2003/XP Microsoft Office Suite Enterprise Management Software (HP Openview, BMC, Tivoli)UNIX (optional) VMS/VAX (optional) Functional: Real time monitoring Escalation Troubleshooting and Recovery Incident Reporting Communication: Strong written and verbal Team player able to work with all internal groups and external trading firms Able to articulate issues intelligently and clearly

Required Experience
Experience in a large support center or customer care center.
Strong working knowledge of HP OpenView or similar enterprise monitoring product preferred.
Command Level UNIX, Command Level VMS a Plus.
Windows Operating System a MUST.
