Seasoned business leader for the position of Director of Application Development & Maintenance for Offshoring. This role will report to the CCIO and will be responsible for implementing the Application Development & Maintenance offshore strategy. The director's role will be responsible for providing overall leadership and coordination across the CIO organization as well as directing and assisting the resources within each CIO group and related Technology Services groups. Directors, system managers, vendors, consultants, and other technology resources within IT will be involved, as well as line-of-business application owners. Offshoring and outsourcing are anticipated to result in cost savings, additional resource capacity, improved development life cycle and improved related technology management processes. This initiative is a critical component in achieving the Operational Efficiency Review strategy. In addition, concurrent line-of-business OER initiatives are underway and are expected to include offshoring and outsourcing alternatives, as well as numerous projects to improve efficiency with new or enhanced solutions along with the retirement of inefficient technology solutions. Outsourcing and offshoring will be considered as one of the sourcing options available for all technology solutions or projects; e.g., vendor software, custom development, consultants, contractors, ASPs and other alternatives. The position will also be responsible for implementing the sustaining process within the CCIO organization, including the selection of resources, organization structure and training and/or reskilling of the IT staff.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be an accomplished IT/Application Development professional with strong experience and expertise in successfully overseeing and managing several functions across multiple lines of business. The individual must have a solid understanding of business issues and be able to provide solid guidance on all related issues.
Minimum requirements include:
� 15 or more years of experience in IT with the majority of the experience in Application Development.
� 2 or more years of direct, relevant and recent experience in Application Offshoring.
� 5 or more years of experience managing an IT department at the senior leadership level.
� Undergraduate degree in a related field.
Preferred experience includes:
� Ability to work effectively across organizational boundaries and across geographic areas in the execution of major change initiatives.
� Ability to develop high-performing diverse teams, efficient processes, and sustaining organizations.
� Demonstrated courage, decisiveness, and sound judgment with the ability to understand and analyze technology, vendor and line-of-business costs.
� Experience in general banking, lending, brokerage, corporate and investment banking, operations, human resources, financial, risk management and other financial services functions and technology.
Candidate Must Have :
* 2+ years in Offshoring Application Development experience
* Financial Services applications experience an absolute must
* 10+ years in ADM (Application Development & Maintenance) line of business CIO level
* 10+ years in Project Office management within an IT organization
* Senior leadership experience and influence capability within CIO space
