Perform basic preparatory and support functions which require the application of standard engineering techniques and procedures in support of an engineering department, mining department, processing department or underground department.

Essential Duties:

Using prescribed methods, perform specific and limited portions of a broader assignment which require the application of standard engineering techniques and procedures in support of a mining operation.
Apply standard practices and techniques in specific situations, adjust and correlate data, recognize discrepancies in results and follows operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes.
Review data and prepare recommendations, summaries, and cost estimates for consideration by senior engineers or managers.
Assist senior engineers as directed, while developing specialized engineering skills.

The above duties and responsibilities are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive.

Working Conditions:
Will be required to access mining and processing areas, rough terrain, or exploration sites on a daily basis.
Occasional physical activity requiring lifting of 50 pound objects for transport or surveying.
Frequent working at a computer/monitor or keyboard may be required.
Hear sufficiently to distinguish various pitches of warning alarms.
Must be sensitive to cultural differences at the operations within the Company.

Training and Experience:

Requires a B.S. Degree in Engineering
No previous experience in a specialty area is necessary.

Candidate Must Have :
* BS or higher in mine engineering
* Will be required to access mining and processing areas, rough terrain, or exploration sites on a daily basis
