The job holder uses existing and emerging technology platforms to design, develop and document technically detailed distributed applications. S/he writes new complex systems (a grouping of programs involving multiple levels of table dimension and internal sorts that accomplishes a particular new function), designs and codes programs and creates test transactions. S/he also analyzes organizational needs and goals to develop and implement distributed application systems.

Performs analysis of software requirements.
Develops software based on specifications provided.
Performs software testing to identifying software defects in code and documentation
Responsible for writing and execution of test plans/scripts
Responsible for ensuring that quality practices are adhered to using the banks SDLC
Willingness to provide on-call availability beyond normal working hours as necessary

Must have a minimum of 5 years experience with several of the following technologies:
.Net, C#, IIS, ASP, Must have working knowledge of SQL server 2000 and 2005, HTML, DHTML
Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills
Must have Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related discipline And/Or Programmer/Developer
Knowledge of the Securities Industry a plus, specifically Hedge Funds Accounting
Experience with Application Architecture Design and offsite development groups is a plus
Self starter who takes ownership of projects. Some lead development experience.
Some interest in taking on some Project Management tasks in the future
Some experience with offsite development resources is a plus
Experience with Microsoft Reporting Sevices is a plus

Minimum 5 - 7 years experience required. Job holder must have thorough knowledge of company's IT infrastructure and daily operations and understand the impact of planned changes. S/he must have knowledge about the functions and features of modern and traditional structured methods for developing distributed applications. S/he must also have extensive experience developing distributed applications. Job holder must be knowledgeable about cross-platform interoperability (multiple platformsi.e. NT, Intranet, etc.) , major tools in a toolkit for a specific platform and features of multiple toolkits. S/he must be experienced at resolving hardware, software, and communications malfunctions and understand the business impact of resolving complications
