OVERVIEW 
Mid-sized investment management company seeks a Business Systems Analyst to assist the Technology Manager with systems integration and technology support tasks. 

FIRM 
Entrepreneurial firm with successful multi-strategy funds of hedge funds. Consistently ranked among top-quartile funds of hedge funds by consultant and industry databases. The firm has grown assets under management considerably since launching in January 2002. Principals are former hedge fund managers with extensive relationships in the investment industry. 

DESCRIPTION 
The Business Systems Analyst will assist the Technology Manager in the following: 
. Implementing enhancements to proprietary data warehouse and reporting system (Microsoft SQL platform) 
. Writing and optimizing SQL Stored Procedures for reporting and ETL routines 
. Designing visually pleasing Microsoft Reporting Services reports for internal and client reporting purposes 
. Integration between the data warehouse and a 3rd-party portfolio management system 
. Assisting portfolio analysts with ad-hoc SQL querying requests 
. Some general IT troubleshooting and support tasks 
. Potential ASP.Net web design work for intranet portal site 

Occasional long hours required. A collegial, professional and collaborative work environment. Potential to increase role as firm increases assets under management and investment offerings. 

IDEAL CANDIDATE 
. 2-3 years experience as a programmer, developer, business analyst or similar position 
. Ability to interface with non-technical employees to gather requirements and implement solutions 
. Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Computer Science preferable, but not required 
. Strong SQL skills (Microsoft SQL Server preferred, but must have SQL knowledge for this job) 
. Experience in or desire to learn about the investment management industry 
. Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services and Integration Services is a plus 
. Experience with web design and programming, especially ASP.Net is a plus
