The software division for a major equity trading company with over 15 years experience developing its own trading systems is looking for a server developer to help with the company's Next Generation Java based order management and market data systems. The candidate is expected to design, implement, and maintain server software in a Linux environment.
Java experience a must, C++ experience very desirable
TCP/IP network programming experience
Object Oriented Design/Programming
Expertise with J2SE 1.5/Java SE 6 including collections, NIO, multithreading & concurrency, XML and one or more of Spring framework, ActiveMQ, Apache MINA, QuickFIX/J
Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and methodologies including related technologies: Ant, Eclipse, JUnit and SVN
Experience with JMX, AOP, JVM tuning, Real-Time extensions a plus
Knowledge of Equity Trading and associated protocols is a significant plus
Experience working on Real-Time Distributed Systems is a significant plus
Excellent oral and written communication skills
