The .Net Developer will be a member of the Global Hub project team, working on the creation of the Global Hub platform and on technology needed to integrate the platform with other United systems or selected external Vendors. This is a new platform, requiring many new modules, though existing technology will be used where available. The design is expected to be a multi-tiered web architecture, using SQL Server for data storage.

Working with various members of the Global Hub team, the .Net Developer will develop designated modules, services and objects, as assigned and will be responsible for all aspects of that activity from initial creation through to unit testing. Due to the iterative design process, each module is expected to go through a 2nd phase of feature adjustment, in a 2nd phase of the project.

The Global Hub is being developed using agile, modular techniques. The .Net Developer will be provided with detailed specifications for specific modules, as well as the necessary interrelationships of the modules. Familiarity with this development approach would be a definite asset.

Since there will be multiple Developers involved in this project, all with similar skills, there is an expectation that the members will be assigned new work based on availability, not on prior knowledge of a specific domain. It is important that this approach be comfortable to the candidate. The bulk of the Development team will be offshore in India, so collaboration with colleagues in different time zones is an expectation for the project.

The .Net Developer should be accustomed to working in both very small teams and moderately sized teams, since the project team will change size through the course of the year.
