Qualifications

8+ years business systems analysis experience and/or application design to include 4+ years experience with Essbase and/or the reporting tools that interact with Essbase.

Experience with the Essbase OLAP platform (ASO/BSO) including but not limited to: outline design, load rules, MaxL scripts, partitions, calc scripts, tuning, optimization, Essbase Excel Add-In, and the SmartView Add-In for Excel.

-Strong accounting/financial experience.

-In depth experience with the full life-cycle of multidimensional-based financial reporting and analytical application projects including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, production rollout, documentation, and maintenance.

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

-Prior experience working with both business and technical partners.

-Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

-Working knowledge of financial metadata and hierarchies.

-Proven ability of providing on-call support for production environment.

 

Responsible for leading a complex design, development and implementation of enterprise wide Essbase and On-Line Analytical Processing (BI/OLAP) applications including data models and ETL design. Act as the escalation point for the most complex designs, coding and testing. Consult with business and IT liaisons to solve the most complex technical problems, develop and implement data mart strategies and optimize the performance of enterprise Essbase or BI/OLAP solutions. Recommends enhancements to existing solutions and identifies ways to increase the use of Essbase or BI/OLAP tools within the organization. Acts as a technical resource to less experienced Essbase BI Consultants and subject matter expert for end user community.
