Bachelor's degree

7+ years’ experience with database technologies

5+ years’ experience SQL Server

T-SQL / Stored Procedures; proficient in writing complex T-SQL, and stored procedures to interact with applications

Performance Tuning critical

 

Strong architecture background and be able to build business intelligence systems that leverage the information contained within an enterprise databases

Strong database design experience

Reporting Services necessary

DTS / SQL Server Integration Services

Experience scaling SQL Server to very large implementations providing support for hundreds of users

SQL Server 2008

Visual Basic .Net

 

Manage the design, development, build, implementation, utilization maintenance and ongoing operations of all aspects of SQL Server including relational databases, data cubes, data warehouses, and statistical databases and data repositories reporting to our Director of Information Technology.

 

This is a new role due to company growth that our Director is currently managing. Working with executives to define what metrics and key performance indicators that is critical to how they manage their business that will be utilized to define the data warehouse. Utilizing ETL tools to extract and build the system. Build a reporting environment utilizing Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services reporting against the data warehouse. Engaged in activities where guidance and direction is provided to 14 plus application development team members in development and maintenance of programs for data access, writing complex T-SQL, and stored procedures to interact with applications, and identifying where slowness in a database resides. Performance tune the database design, T-SQL, stored procedures, and hardware to gain the maximum utilization of the platform. Scale SQL Server to very large implementations providing support for hundreds of users and recommend hardware solutions.

 

Desired Certification (in one or more of the following):

Microsoft Certified IT Professional – MCITP: Database Administrator

Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist – MCTS: SQL Server

Microsoft Certified Master – MCM: Microsoft SQL Server
