Description:   

Strong Java developer with strong test-driven development experience and a desire to make an impact in a fast-growing company.

 

Responsibilities

•  Use your knowledge of Java, Struts, Hibernate, ext js, and your penchant for designing scalable systems to continuously improve the application suite and the consumer engagement framework it currently supports.

•  A passion for Agile methodologies and a willingness to be part of our clients Agile teams.

•  Collaboration with offshore testing team and a willingness to test when needed.

•  Participate and become a key player on R&D projects as needed

•  Provide technical guidance to junior members of the team

 

Position Requirements

Formal Education & Certification

•  University degree in computer science, information systems, or another rigorous discipline is required.

•  An advanced degree in one these fields is a plus.

 

 

Knowledge & Experience

•  5+ years work experience with Java and J2EE technologies.

•  Minimum 2 years experience with AJAX presentation technologies.

•  Proficiency with the following technologies:  JSP, XML, SQL, and common J2EE app server.

•  Understanding of SQL and data modeling for scalability and performance.

•  Extensive knowledge of JavaScript and CSS.

•  Ability to debug and resolve difficult technical problems.

•  Ability to determine the feasibility of projects in a fast paced deadline driven environment.

•  Ability to work under pressure.

•  Ability to anticipate problems proactively and take appropriate actions to mitigate negative impact.

•  Experience with 3rd party custom software integration is a plus.

•  Exposure to iterative and incremental agile software development methodology.

•  Exposure with Hadoop, NoSQL databases, EMR or AWL a plus.
