Requisition Senior Software Engineer, Data Feeds

Product: Radical (Equities Cash & Derivatives Trading

platform)

Location: NYC

Platform Windows

 

Position / Title Sr. Software Engineer w/ emphasis on experience with Market Data and Feeds

Application is:. The Radical Equities Cash and Derivatives (Options & Futures) trading platform includes servers

(Execution, Best Price Router and Market Data) and Radical Client XE (GUI).

Responsibilities of the Initial Assignment (What will the person be doing?)

Hands-on development under guidance of project management on the development of Radical servers and client XE

with C++, C#/.NET and RDMBS on Windows.

Work in an Agile (XP) Programming environment

Essential Technical Knowledge / Skills

What level of expertise is needed? 1 = Familiar With 3 = Working Knowledge of 5 = Expert

• 5 in C++/C# and related libraries & technologies such as STL, sockets, multicasting and multithreading

• 5 in server experience with distributed enterprise systems

• 4 in OO design and programming (UML, C++, C#, Java, etc)

• 4 on design patterns and best practices

• 3 on RDBMS

Other Desired Skills / Experience

• Solid working knowledge of financial systems, especially Market Data, Direct Feeds and OPRA

• Knowledge of equity markets, FIX protocol and market data API’s is highly desired

• Experience with high volume real-time equities cash & derivatives (Options & Futures) trading systems is

highly desired

• Experience with EU and Canadian equities trading systems is a plus

Will this position include production support responsibilities? To what extent?

Yes - On-going support and troubleshooting - approximately 10%

Degree

Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field

Communication Requirements Scale 1= Not Important 3 = Important 5 = Critical

Importance of Written Communication Skills 4

Importance of Spoken English Skills 5
