POSITION TITLE:                        Account Manager – Back Office

LOCATION 2 Positions—1 in NYC/1 in Jersey City

REPORTS TO:                             Senior Account Manager, Back Office

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

·         Daily/Weekly/Monthly Net Asset Value preparation, which includes:

o        Cash and Portfolio Reconciliations

o        Income and Expense Accruals

o        Partner/Shareholder Allocation calculations

o        Financial Statement preparation

·         Other Ad Hoc Reports as needed

·         Interact daily with P&L team on valuations and price analysis

·         Interpret confirmation letters from counter parties to set up Derivative instruments in Accounting System

 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

·         5 years experience in managing a team of Fund Accountants, Senior Fund Accountants and Supervisors

·         7-10 years of fund accounting experience in either a Hedge Fund, Hedge Fund Administrator, Mutual Fund or other financial institution where the accountant has gained financial products knowledge

·         Previous Financial Statement Preparation experience

·         Advanced knowledge in complex Derivatives

·         Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics a must

·         CFA preferred, CPA a plus

·         Good communication skills

·         Working knowledge of Excel and Word essential
