This position serves as the technical project lead for small to moderate-scale projects.
The engineering manager provides technical leadership for a project in the specific areas of high-level architecture, technical approach, technical schedule, financial tracking and risk reduction.
Provides mentoring to less senior technical contributors and task leaders.
Assists in employee development, monitors employee performance, and manages corrective action when necessary.
Performs requirements analysis, functional decomposition, proof of concept development and trade studies in a CMMI maturity level 3 and ISO-9001 environment.
Supports business development activities including systems architecture definition, technical proposal writing and cost estimation.

Qualifications:
BSEE with focus on Communications and Hardware Development and minimum of 10 years in military or commercial communications equipment design experience

Experience:
Project management experience relevant to communications equipment and systems.
Extensive knowledge of communication systems and waveforms.
Experience managing and making trade-offs between recurring cost, budget and schedule.
Must have a history of managing a multi-discipline team (e.g.- software, hardware, and systems) with various levels of experience.
Must have experience managing several small-to-large project developments at the same time.

This position requires eligibility for a CCI type clearance. Additional clearances may also be required.
