Position:           FIX Application Specialist

FIX Application Specialist will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, trouble shooting and upgrading of company’s FIX client connectivity applications and monitoring software, including liaison with software vendors by reporting issues and bug fixes verification. The individual hired for position will work directly with major FIX network providers to enhance and improve the electronic business software functionality available to Company’s client support personnel and customers.

Responsibilities:

Candidate must be able to work closely with the business to estimate, prioritize and schedule work across applications and possess good organization skills to conduct UAT with the IT team and client support personnel when new software roll-outs occur.

The successful candidate will have an in-depth understanding of FIX and NYFIX products both technically and functionally within emerging markets environment, backed up by a good education and a solid grounding in software development methodologies and practices. Further responsibilities :

  • This position is responsible for the testing, debugging, and documentation of applications to satisfy the requirements of one or more user areas.  
  • Analysis of existing customers' workflow environment. Assist service desk / tech group with setting up and configuring new client installations to fit their workflow models.
  • Working with business to identify and implement workflow solutions for their software and systems related issues.
  • Provide internal training and mentorship to client’s services department and IT on routing technology.  
  • Provide front-line telephone and on-site diagnostic and technical support for various applications  --  C router, Appia and Tradescope.  
  • Maintain a working knowledge of industry standard software and hardware systems and relevant diagnostics. 

Desired Skills:

 

  • Four+ years of FIX Client Connectivity Application support experience.
  • In-depth technical and functional knowledge of FIX connectivity related products preferably Appia, cRouter, Tradescope and other NYFIX products.
  • Good understanding of FIX protocol.
  • Exposure to FIX connectivity and trading support with international especially emerging markets is a big plus.
  • BA or BS/MS degree in computer science or related fields.
