Will be assigned to one client (financial). 50% of time is client facing, 50% of time is in office writing specs and business reqs. based on meeting with client group and analyzing their needs.  

 

Must understand S/W development life cycle. Some S/W development in past is a plus. They would like some financial or vendor experience. Trade floor support experience a plus.

 

Position: Business Analyst-Senior (6+ years exp.)
Location: Jersey City
Salary: $72,100-$90,000 + 15% bonus

Position: Business Analyst-Staff (3+ years exp.)
Location: Jersey City
Salary: Up to $77K + 10% bonus

Job Description:

Under general supervision, formulates and defines system scope and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer, equipment capacity and limitations, operating time and form of desired results. Includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements and translation into proper system requirement specifications. Guides and advises less experienced business analysts. Competent to work at the highest technical level of most phases of systems analysis while considering the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment.

Skills Required:

Minimum of five years of financial service industry experience and knowledge.
Excellent knowledge of company’s business procedures and objectives. Excellent writing, editing, communications, organizational, and decision making skills. Extensive knowledge of PC and various software applications. Advanced knowledge of portfolio accounting systems, trading systems, and performance measurement.

APL experience is a plus
