Software Engineer

 

At least five years of experience to help design and develop enterprise solutions delivered as services.  Software engineering experience designing and building web based systems is required.  The ideal candidate will have experience with enterprise solutions delivered both as products and as services.  The ability to effectively manage individual work as part of a team is critical to this position.

 

Required Experience and Skills:

• Object oriented design and development.  Java and J2EE expertise is required.
• Web based application development, including multiplatform user interface and web service implementation experience.  The candidate should have a strong understanding of the full stack of technologies used for web-based services including Struts & Spring.  Use of Tomcat as an application container.  AJAX experience preferable.
• Experience with Relational Databases such as Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.  Experience using Hibernate & Spring or other Object to Relational mapping systems is preferred.
• Participation in software projects through delivery and subsequent releases.
• Agile software development processes including best practices and tools.
• Strong verbal and written communications abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree -Master’s is a plus- in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline.
• C#/.NET experience would be an advantage, as would C++ on UNIX and Windows.
