Installation Design/ Packaging Design Engineer - (US-CT-Windsor Locks)

Compensation: $70K - $100K / Year

DESCRIPTION
- Design and coordination of aircraft Air Management System installations
- Design of pneumatic duct and mount interfaces for components such as heat exchangers, air cycle machines, compressors, and water extractors
- Coordination of component design activities to assure coherent overall package
- Routine communication with customers, Project Engineering, and component design groups
- Occasional travel

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- BSME degree
- Ability to use UG NX/2 (CATIA V5 would also be helpful)
- Ability to use PC based office software
- 7 years experience with installation of aircraft systems, preferably pneumatic or vapor cycle systems
- A good understanding of structural design, including a working knowledge of tools such as PATRAN and NASTRAN
- Understanding of typical aircraft structural and environmental specification requirements
- Familiarity with general manufacturing practices, including sheet metal fabrication, welding techniques, and machining techniques
- Demonstrated ability to meet technical, and schedule commitments
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers, associates, and management

Candidate Must Have :
* BS Degree
* Packaging design experience (ex. Generators)
* Design Experience
* Uingraphics Experience (Catia V5 would be helpful)
