Credit-Flow, Mid or Senior Developer Job Specification

Role:  Mid or Senior Developer Credit-Flow Front-office systems development.

 

Technical skills required: (all not necessary but should have working

experience with most)

1)        .NET development - minimum 2 years

2)        C# development -  minimum 3 years

3)        JAVA/J2EE/JMS - minimum 2 years

4)        Good knowledge of relational databases.  We use Sybase.  Should know SQL.

5)        SOAP/AJAX/ Web Services - minimum 1 year

6)        Good knowledge of MS-Windows(XP)(Front-end applications run on Windows)

7)        UNIX, preferably SUN/Solaris knowledge (Server-side components run on SUN-Solaris)

8)        Berkley DB (some applications use BerkelyDB)

9)        C++/C/VB development experience is a plus

10)    Perl/Unix scripting is a plus

11)    TIBCO RV/MQueue experience is a plus.

 

Business skills:

1)        Knowledge of Credit-Flow products (primarily Corporate Bonds, Credit Default Swaps, Preferred Stocks, Treasuries, Interest Rate Swaps).  This is a huge plus.

2)        Prior experience working with trading systems/or risk management systems before is a huge plus.

 

Other skills:

1. Good communication skills.  Will work directly with traders/salesforce/risk managers/etc.
2. Good writing skills.
3. Good analytical skills a plus.

I have up to 3 openings in the Credit-Flow IT group at HBSC in midtown NY.  They are contractor positions with a right-to-hire.
I am attaching a job-spec that fits 2 of the roles which is for a mid level (possibly senior level) developer.
The individuals will help develop, enhance and support (when necessary)  systems in the Credit-Flow area.
(i.e. Corporate Bonds, Credit-Default Swap, Preferred Stock, Auction Rate security trading) at time working closely
with Trading, Sales & Risk Management.  Systems are globally deployed and there is alot of interaction with the London & Hong Kong offices.
