Job Description:	Attention all Microsoft financial architect/developers who are tired of commuting from So NJ to NYC.       Salary/Wages Open                             Status: Full-time Employee                       Job Category: Information Technology             Education: PhD in Computer Science, Engineering or other Science / Math field preferred          Work Experience: 10+ Years                   A  growing institutional quantitative investment management firm with over $20 billion in equity assets under management.  Our internal systems staff supports all functions of the firm. Recent growth in the systems development staff requires additional technical oversight and project management resources.   Job Description: This position will have responsibilities in the area of systems architect, technical lead and project management. The position will be responsible for 1) architecting solutions that integrate the functional applications that support research, trading, portfolio management and securities accounting, 2) providing technical and engineering leadership in all areas of application development, and 3) managing critical projects that cut across these functional areas. Candidates must be able work directly with professional investment staff to collect and interpret requirements and deliver products that meet their needs. The successful candidate will be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.    Responsibilities:   Analyze business needs to determine requirements Architect solutions that integrate the functional applications that support research, trading, portfolio management and securities accounting Provide technical and engineering leadership in all areas of application development Project management of critical projects that cut across these functional areas Assist in building and managing teams that will develop the solutions   Requirements:   Minimum of 10 years systems development experience using C++ and object-oriented programming Minimum 5 years database experience working with Microsoft SQL Server Minimum of 5 years systems architect and project management experience Experience in working in a Microsoft environment using Visual Studio Experience developing applications in support of investment management processes Good working knowledge of investment related data and systems Experience in full software development life cycle Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to coordinate with internal personnel and external systems support vendors   Compensation:   Open, depending upon education, experience and skills Competitive health benefits, profit sharing, paid holidays and vacation following 90 days of employment       Company is a renowned preeminent quantitative investment firm, managing over $20 billion in U.S. equities for a select and sophisticated institutional clientele.
